rang thinks, and then he decides that after everything he's seen of yuzuriha, that her kindness is the least strange thing about her,]
It's just refreshing, after all the yelling I've had to listen to.
[though he wouldn't mind if yuzuriha yelled at him, she'd placed her trust in him, after all. she hadn't judged him beforehand, and then acted surprised at being proven wrong.]
[ yuzuriha should not be a benchmark of kindness... she had acted on her intuition, and she had certainly questioned his intentions after the results of the trial. it was probably more pride than trust that had her ultimately stick with her decision, after a night of debate (and she personally hates indecision).
...so she really wouldn't have the right to grill him—though she still probably would. just to set things back to baseline rather than whatever weird camaraderie they've stumbled across. ]
Maybe next time try not to act so suspiciously...?
[because he could have, if haru and monika and rin hadn't held hands together in that tower, praying that they wouldn't be the ones to die next, and then pulled him into their circle as if his death would be as devastating as any one of theirs.
this is the problem with feelings, he thinks. they don't make any sense and they get everywhere]
[ yaywon this is so tragic WTH. i can't believe rang... might be babygirl...?
she shakes her head ]
I wouldn't say that any of this feels good, [ everything that's happened—rin's murder, yesterday's trial, d's execution just hours ago—] but I hope it's not quite as bad as it was.
[ maybe he can have a little bit of reprieve. closure. she doesn't know. ]

What about it?
[ i mean if he really wanted, she could probably find ways to roast him. but he hasn't really done anything today (yet) to earn it. ]

It was fine. [he can lie now because it will be, soon.] As executions go, that wasn't that bad.
[he's seen so many and dealt so many deaths. imagine if he was a free, then it'd really have traumatized him]
It would have been awkward if he begged for his life.

You've done a few already?
[ our poor RINHARU! ]
It's a good thing he went gracefully, then.

More or less. I've been both.
[as executioner and execuee.... executor...? PERSON TO BE EXECUTED???]

You must've been busy, for a fox.
[ just accepts it as normal gumiho things... ]
How many lives did you have?

he makes a little eh gesture with his hand,]
Just the one, with a bunch of near-misses. My brother tried to execute me a few centuries ago.

[ HELLO? CONCERN? HELLO? ]

Did your sister never try to kill you?
[this isn't normal behavior to be asking about?????
maybe it's because he's already classified yuzuriha is the opposite of normal, maybe from the first time they've met]

She couldn't hurt a fly.

...You're the only one here who knows about my brother. How's that for a secret?
no subject
And you're the only one who knows about my sister.
[ for now. may they both survive to next week's hypothetical memshare. ]
...She was sick.
[ that's why she left her. ]
