[ LOOK IF ANYONE CAN MANAGE IT ICLY, IT WOULD BE SETSU... ]
There's a possibility that there may be some not sorely tempted to get out. [ which is insane. not that Setsu thinks so, it's Zetsu personally, but they are considering all the options. ]
Have you given it much thought on who to team up with?
[US LIKE DAMN WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO LEAVE HELL as superhell stares at us from beyond,
Rang looks Setsu up and down, but this is the first conversation he's had with someone taking the subject seriously -- not to say others haven't, but they've definitely been more cagey about it. (because rang is fcking weird)]
Nahida. You know, the one who looks like a baby. As for the others... maybe the sword spirits. Anyone who cares more about leaving than playing nice with the other teams, which I'm not really seeing from many people here.
[why are y'all in the spicy good friend section of the turbo chart]
[ I MEAN SANE PEOPLE WOULDN'T. also superhell changed me i would've loved for a bad "everyone stays stuck there" end.
they blink a little when he looks them up and down, but they don't say anything about it. just keeping a note on it for now. as long as it's not in the same fashion as someone they know back on the ship.. it's fine. :/ ]
Nahida does seem to be quite reliable. [ just based on their intuition. and tbh i feel like nahida would def team up with rang cause she is used to picking up skrunkly cats. ] Playing entirely nice won't always get you anywhere, no but.. doesn't hurt for now.
[shakes hands zetsu same the bad end we wanted so badly and also deserved.
ALSO HELLO? IT WASN'T A SLUTTY LOOK UP AND DOWN???? ]
For now. I can play nice, but I'm not interested in miracle solutions where we all try to get along and refuse to play the game. Not when people will play it.
[he's also tired of being nice(?). this is the longest (two days) period of time where he's had to curb his instincts. normally, he'd always get a reprieve of some kind. but here.... for all the years he's lived, he's never quite been in a situation like this. and that truly annoys him]
Are there that many that refuse to play? If it could be avoidable, I'd understand, but I don't think it's something we can get out of. If we're meant to play the game.. we may as well follow along.
[ Setsu is certainly approachable, and can be polite and friendly enough, but they know that it would be pointless to try and refuse to play. they aren't that naive. if they are expected to-- they will play into the role. especially if it means going back. ]
[It makes his hackles rise, even though Setsu is only saying the conclusion he's come to. Being manipulated like this is infuriating, if only something crazy like murder would happen... That would make him happy again....]
This isn't my first time being spirited away like this, but it's always been personal. Having a bunch of strangers around is weird.
[IS THAT THE ONLY WEIRD THING THOUGH???]
What about you? This kind of thing isn't normal for most humans, is it?
[ well, rang... spoilers but your wish will come true... ]
So you have some experience like this? Outside the strangers and game.
[ well, they're used to being around the same group of people for a time, so they can't blame him being weirded out being with strangers tbh. ]
I was.. in a predictament before this, but not anything like this. [ but uh ] "Humans"? I take you're not human then?
[ it's not like it lists what people Are. but that isn't really a surprising notion, it's more of a "huh, didn't realize you weren't human" kind of reaction. ]
And yet whoever is in charge of here seems to have done so... that kinda tells what kind of person they are, in a way.
[that the one in charge isn't afraid? that they're powerful enough to take the risks? that... makes them seem all the more dangerous, whoever they are. it's an uneasy thought.]
I was aboard an interstellar cruise ship that had to deal with something we call "Gnosia." They're individuals infected by what we know as the Gnos, corrupting their minds with the sole purpose of eliminating humans. Or, in their mind, saving them.

It's stupid that this group needs more reasons than the one we have. You'd think the chance to get out of here would be enough.
[has rang been productive about finding teammates... he has not, and yet]

...Still, this really was unexpected.

[there is a supernatural food chain, and rang would assign himself as the top. his gaze flicks back to Setsu, eyebrow raising]
What kind of predicament?

Rang immediately looks intrigued though,]
Isn't that.. what's it called -- sci-fi? [big words coming from the fantasy kdrama guy] I've never been to space before.
[IS THAT THE ISSUE HERE]
I've met plenty of creatures who want to eliminate humans though.
no subject
It is basically "sci-fi" I guess. [ ok fantasy kdrama guy. but they get it. ]
...I guess that's not too surprising, after my encounters with Gnos but. [ stop being obsessed with eliminating humanity. ]
no subject
I've never met anyone who thought they were 'saving' humanity though.
[they just KILL to KILL!!!! what is with this... philanthropy....]
no subject
I couldn't really explain why they think that way. Especially since they are an aggregation of merged minds.
[ it's fucked! ]

[THIS IS SO SCIFI]
So this must seem straightforward to you, compared to that.
no subject
More or less. [ hmm ] The concept of different worlds, alternative universes, is also not too strange for me.
no subject
Is that what you think is? An alternate universe?
no subject
I do. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.
